WE UNDERSTAND THAT CUBA IS NOT FOR EVERYONE. IS IT FOR YOU?

This trip IS for you if:

  • You are looking for a Cuban DANCE INTENSIVE experience

  • You are comfortable traveling in GROUPS and can remain flexible with your schedule

  • You enjoy walking and getting to know new places

  • You are excited to learn about new cultures

  • You understand that constant communication is key for safety

  • You can be independent when trying to do something that is not in the group itinerary

  • You enjoy warm tropical temperatures and are cool with the idea of not having AC at all times

  • You seek adventure and spontaneous experiences

  • You are a problem-solver and can make the best out of unexpected situations (e.g. power outage party!)

  • You enjoy meeting new people, even folks who don't speak English

  • You are cool with sharing and being a team-player

This trip is NOT for you if:

  • You need AC at all times and do not tolerate warm temperatures well

  • You are not able to walk for 20+ minutes or need constant access to transportation

  • You are not interested in learning Cuban dances nor interested in dancing several hours a day

  • You are not comfortable traveling with a group: encountering other personalities and practicing patience

  • It makes you uncomfortable to try to communicate with people who don't speak English

  • You dislike attending night events, music halls, or loud places

  • You are uncomfortable being in places with a limited selection of food and drink

  • You are not open to learn about and feel Cuban culture

Tips

Tips are HUGE in Cuba! $1-2 will go a long way. We usually tip our bartenders and servers. Also, at the end of our trip, we usually give a personal tip to our dance instructors and Casa Particular cleaning crew. $10 tips are great!

Art & Souvenirs

Every time we go to Cuba we are so proud of having spent only $500 of our personal expense budget - until we get to the art market! We don't know about you, but we love to buy art! And it's super cheap (compared to USA prices). Art fanatics bring about $300-400 solely for art.
